Sparkling Blueberry Drink Recipe

Ingredients:

Makes about 2 servings

1/3 cup (80 g) Granulated White Sugar

1/3 cup (80 ml) Water

3,5 oz (100 g) Blueberries

Fresh 1 or 2 lemons juice

1 ½ cups (360 ml) Sparkling Water

Ice cubes

Directions:

Combine sugar, 80 ml of water and the blueberries in a medium saucepan: cook over high heat, bring to a boil and simmer until blueberries have broken down (for about 5-8 minutes).

Let cool the blueberry syrup.

Meanwhile squeeze 1 or 2 big lemons.

Sieve the blueberry syrup (don’t throw away the fruit from the filtering!! It’s amazingly delicious as a jam!), combine it with the lemon juice and add the sparkling water.

Serve over ice and some blueberries. A great idea could be freezing a single blueberry inside each ice cube so when they will melt, they will release this beautiful fruit!

Add fresh mint leaves if you like it.
